Sentient Jet, a Directional Aviation company and the inventor of the Jet Card, in partnership with world-renowned art business Sotheby’s, today shared details on exciting events to be held for clients and select guests over the weekend of July 27th on New York’s luxurious Hamptons peninsula. The event series marks Sentient Jet’s latest collaboration with Sotheby’s as its Preferred Aviation Partner in North America, a title that the private jet provider has held since March 2017. In addition to special area events of this kind, which have also included private receptions and intimate showcases at the art world’s most exclusive affairs including Art Basel Miami Beach, Sentient Jet Cardholders enjoy VIP experiences at Sotheby’s Global Headquarters in New York City through the company’s extensive Benefits Guide, which provides privileged access to the world’s finest hotels and resorts, top destinations, luxury lifestyle brands, and more.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 27th at 6:00 PM with “Hungry Heart,” a cocktail reception celebrating Andrew Brischler. Brischler’s work investigates the intersection of graphic design and abstraction through his devotion to drawing. For Hungry Heart, Brischler created nine new works, each signifying his own anxious feelings about our particular sociopolitical moment. Using language from a wide range of quintessentially American figures such as Bruce Springsteen, Donna Summer, and Tennessee Williams as jumping off points, each work is meant to confront the viewer with a sense of nostalgia, confusion, and seduction. Taking place in the picturesque town of Sagaponack at the stunning Madoo Conservancy, an in-demand venue dedicated to the study, preservation, and enhancement of its diverse gardens and historic structures, the reception will be hosted by David Rothschild, Sotheby’s Vice President, Contemporary Art.
The following day, Sentient Jet and Sotheby’s clients and friends are invited to continue the conversation over an elegant brunch and panel discussion at one of Sotheby’s’ most impressive Water Mill properties. Guests will enjoy signature cocktails and light bites while taking in highlights from the art house’s upcoming Contemporary Curated sale, which offers new collectors and established clients alike an unparalleled opportunity to acquire works by leading artists of the Postwar and Contemporary periods. During the event, Lisa Dennison, Sotheby’s Chairman, and Charlotte Van Dercook, Head of Contemporary Curated, will engage in a lively discussion with one of the industry’s most notable collectors to discuss the upcoming sale and its diverse range of great art, as well as their insights on collecting in the ever-changing Contemporary market.
“We are thrilled to be joining our partners at Sotheby’s in celebrating the best of Contemporary art this summer in the Hamptons, a popular destination for so many Sentient Jet Cardholders,” said Andrew Collins, President and CEO of Sentient Jet. “The art industry is a passion point for a number of our clients and friends, and we look forward to providing them with this unique opportunity to further their education and exploration of the Contemporary period.”
